Powder Filling Machines

Our powder filling machines handle a wide range of dry powder and granule products including: food powders (flour, sugar, spices, protein, coffee), chemical powders (detergents, fertilizers, cement additives), cosmetic powders (talc, setting powder), and pharmaceutical powders. Products range from fine powders (particle size <100 microns) to coarse granules (up to 10mm). Highly cohesive or clumping powders may require vibration-assisted or heated auger systems.

Auger filling uses a rotating screw (auger) to dispense a controlled volume of powder per fill cycle. It is fast (20–120 units/min) and suitable for consistent, free-flowing powders. Accuracy is typically ±0.5%–±2% by weight. Weigh filling (multi-head weigher or net-weight scale) measures each fill by actual weight and achieves ±0.1%–±0.5% accuracy, but is slower (30–80 units/min). For premium products where giveaway is costly, weigh filling is recommended. For high-speed commodity products, auger filling is preferred.

Yes. For dusty powders, we provide fully enclosed filling systems with dust extraction ports and negative pressure containment. For ATEX-classified explosive powders (dust explosion hazard), ATEX Zone 21/22 certified equipment is available. For toxic or pharmaceutical powders, fully contained isolator systems with HEPA filtration and OEB-rated containment are available. Powder filling machines fill a wide range of containers: flexible bags and pouches (pre-made bags, VFFS film packaging), rigid bottles and jars (HDPE, PET, glass), cans and tins, boxes and cartons (via volumetric scoop), and large bags (25kg–50kg big bags/super sacks). The machine type depends on the container format — auger fillers work well with rigid containers; form-fill-seal machines handle flexible packaging; net-weight fillers work with any container format.

Auger powder fillers: ±0.5%–±2% (typical production fills). Servo auger with closed-loop control: ±0.5%–±1%. Multi-head combination weighers: ±0.1%–±0.5% on granules and free-flowing powders. Net-weight single-head fillers: ±0.2%–±0.5% for consistent powders. For fine powders that pack differently at different humidities, accuracy may be reduced — environmental controls (temperature/humidity regulation) and product conditioning are recommended.
