Bottle Line Guide

Bottle Filling Machine Buying Guide

A buyer guide for liquid, edible oil and cosmetic bottle filling projects that need filling, capping, labeling or packing review.

Short Answer

Choose a bottle filling machine by the product inside the bottle first, then confirm bottle volume, bottle material, cap type, output target and downstream modules. The same bottle size can need different equipment if the liquid viscosity, foaming, hygiene or cap handling changes.

Start with the product inside the bottle

Water, detergent, sauce, edible oil, lotion and perfume can all use bottles, but they do not use the same filling method or line configuration. Product behavior decides pump type, nozzle design, cleaning need and fill speed.

Bottle and cap details matter

Bottle drawings or photos help confirm conveyor guides, filling height, neck opening, cap feeder, capping torque and labeling placement. Cap type is often as important as bottle volume in a complete line quotation.

  • Send bottle front, side and cap photos whenever drawings are not available.
  • Confirm PET, HDPE, glass, aluminum or other bottle material.
  • Share whether caps, pumps, spray heads or trigger heads are used.

Decide between filling machine and full line

A single filling machine may fit smaller production or existing downstream equipment. A full bottle line is better when the project needs filling, capping, labeling, coding, packing and conveyors in one coordinated layout.

Compare suppliers by configuration logic

A good supplier should explain why a filling method, head count, conveyor layout and capping solution fit your product. Avoid quotations that only list a generic bottle filling machine without product and cap review.

Selection Points

Use liquid bottle filling pages when the product is water-like, home-care liquid, sauce or general liquid.
Use edible oil bottle filling pages when the product is cooking oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, olive oil or palm oil.
Use cosmetic bottle filling pages when the product is serum, lotion, toner, shampoo or personal-care liquid.
Use automatic liquid filling pages when the buyer already knows output and wants an integrated line.

RFQ Checklist

1Liquid name, viscosity, foaming behavior and whether cleaning is important.
2Bottle volume, material, shape, neck opening and photos or drawings.
3Cap, pump, spray head or closure type with photos if possible.
4Target bottles per hour or bottles per day.
5Required modules: filling, capping, labeling, coding, packing and conveyors.

Common Buyer Questions

Can one bottle filling machine handle different bottle sizes?

Yes, if the size range is planned before quotation. The supplier should review filling height, bottle guides, conveyor width, filling heads, cap tools and labeling modules for each practical format.

What is the first question for a bottle filling project?

The first question is what liquid will be filled. Product behavior decides the filling method, nozzle, pump, cleaning expectation and line speed more than the word bottle alone.

Do I need to buy a full bottle filling line?

Not always. A filling machine can be enough when capping and labeling are already handled. A full line is better when stable output and fewer manual steps are needed.
